Tumbled pebbles and rock are by-products of the extraction process. Blocks or boulders that are too small for profile or other use are either broken by a hammer to a certain size, usually 300mm x 300mm and random length or crushed in a crusher to four different pebble sizes.

Our split block/garden edging range includes blocks with four sides cut by a diamond, smooth finish, with the two ends split on a block splitter which gives a rustic look. The size of these blocks will vary and can be used for a low wall, i.e. two blocks high with mortar in between, or for garden edging.

Slabs

Ablatio does not intentionally process slabs. Slabs are a by-product of cutting block for other purposes. Slabs may be trimmed on all 6 sides or may be cut on the face and the back.

Slabs can be cut to size on request and, depending on thickness, can be used as benchtops, standalone tables, seats, paving and general landscape use.

When enquiring on this product, please nominate length, width, thickness, end use and how many sides should be cut or trimmed.
